FAQ

Can the screen basket handle wet or sticky materials (e.g., high-moisture raw coal) without blinding?

Yes. Our screen basket features a wedge wire (V-profile) structure, creating a slot that widens from the surface to the underside. This “diverging” design prevents particle wedging and reduces blinding. Even with materials containing <10% mud content, the sieving rate remains above 80%.

Excellent. The screen gap accuracy reaches 0.1mm, and the sieving rate for 80–200 mesh fine minerals is 85%–95%. It is widely used for fine coal dewatering, slurry dewatering, and chemical crystal separation.

Wedge wire screens offer higher open area, self-cleaning geometry, and consistent gap accuracy. Perforated plates are more prone to blinding and have lower throughput for fine or sticky materials.

We offer customization for slot size, taper angle, diameter, and height to match different centrifuge models (e.g., vibratory centrifuges, scroll discharge centrifuges, and screen bowl centrifuges) with varying processing capacities.

Service life depends on material abrasiveness and operating conditions. When using wear-resistant steel, our screen baskets last 2–3 times longer than standard stainless steel (304/316) baskets in high-wear applications such as coal and mining dewatering.
